On 26 October (room 423, 9:00) a joint launching event for development of a new training course «Rights and Obligations in Sport» will take place in MGIMO. The event has been organised by the Council of Europe, the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Russian Federation as a part of the implementation of the Anti-Doping Action Plan being jointly implemented by the Russian Federation and the Council of Europe.

The development of this new pilot training course will be undertaken under the pan-European HELP Programme of the Council of Europe and coordinated at the European Studies Institute of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Russian Federation. The course aims at establishing a modern and accessible legal curriculum designed for professional training and awareness-raising of all stakeholders with regard to rights and obligations related to sports. In accordance with the HELP program strategy, the pilot course will be based on the integration of national and international legal sources, including the Council of Europe Sport Conventions that regulate, inter alia, the fight against doping, security and violence prevention at sporting events and the manipulation of sports.
